Designed by international architecture firm, Büro Ole Scheeren, and located at 1515 Alberni Street in Coal Harbour, Fifteen Fifteen is a new condo development by Bosa Properties and and Kingswood Properties currently in preconstruction.
Fifteen Fifteen has a total of 201 units, 40 stories, and will be a standout with its spectacular “jenga” tower. The development is scheduled for completion in Winter/Spring 2023.
A cafe and gallery space will look out over the water feature, which will be completely reconstructed to use less water. The depth will be reduced to approximately 6-8″ inches, and the bottom will be painted black to give the water the illusion of being much deeper. Several trees will be added across the plaza and into the water of the reflecting pool. Landscape architects say the trees will soften what is a currently a very hard, urban plaza.
There will be seven levels of underground parking with 315 parking stalls, accessed from Nicola Street. Unit sizes will range from studios, one, two and three bedroom units, as well penthouses and 18 “cantilever” units.
The architect hopes the building will serve as a gateway to downtown Vancouver.
“Located on West Georgia Street, the tower stands as a beacon at the entrance to downtown Vancouver from the North Shore and Stanley Park and forms an urban pivot at the junction where the city’s grid splices and begins to expand.”
